By plane

The John Paul II International and Domestic Airport Kraków Balice is located at the outskirts of the city. How to get the city:

Public airport buses
Kraków Airport is served by two regular buses lines: 209 and 300 and one night line: 902.
Direct bus service from Airport to Congress Venue is bus line: 300
bus stop in front of the airport,
final stop - Osiedle (os.) Podwawelskie
Travel time is about 45 min.
Price: 6 PLN /one way (approx. 1,5 EUR.)

Train from airport
It is the fastest way to get from the airport to the city center (the journey takes about 17 minutes) is the shuttle train service, which links the airport with the Kraków's Main Railway Station located in the city center. The new Kraków Airport train station is located near the passenger terminal, at the rear of the multi-storey car park. The connection is operated by Koleje Małopolskie (regional railways company operating in Małopolska Region). Trains are equipped with air conditioning, power outlets, Wi-Fi and ticket machines. All trains also have spaces for disabled passengers and persons with reduced mobility (PRM). Please, check timetable each time before your travel here.

Taxi from airport
Taxi fare from the airport to the city center is approx. 100 -150 PLN (approx. 25-30 EUR) depending on time of arrival and Taxi Company. Travel duration is approx. 20-45 minutes depending on traffic.

By train

The city can be easily and comfortably accessed by train from all larger cities in Poland and Europe.

By car

Several bus companies run regular international services to Kraków and many other cities in Poland.
Kraków has a direct access to the highway A4 and international motorways E40 and E77. Roads in Poland are marked with international traffic signs, and traffic regulations are similar to those in operation in other European countries.
Parts of the highway's system in Poland is tolled. Pricing varies between different roads. A4 is a toll highway between Kraków and Wrocław (with a small toll-free fragment in vicinity of Katowice). Payment for regular car on route between Kraków and Katowice costs 20 złotych (around 5 Euro). Information about all tolls regarding Polish highways can be found here.
Practically anywhere in the city it may prove tricky to find a convenient parking place. Parking on the streets in the center of Kraków is paid on weekdays from Monday to Friday between 10:00 (10:00 a.m.) to 20:00 (8:00 p.m.).

How to get from Warsaw to Kraków:

By Train: The train is one of the most popular ways to travel between these two cities from Warsaw Central Station (Warszawa Centralna) to Kraków Main Station (Kraków Główny). The journey takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. Check the Polskie Koleje Państwowe (PKP Intercity) website for schedules and tickets.

By Bus: Buses are another convenient option. Multiple bus companies, including FlixBus and Polskibus, offer services between Warsaw and Kraków. The journey usually takes around 4 to 5 hours. Tickets are available online or at the bus station.

By Car: If you prefer to drive, you can rent a car.
The distance between Warsaw and Kraków is about 300 kilometers (186 miles), and the drive typically takes around 4 hours, depending on traffic. The primary route is via the S7 expressway.

By Plane: While there are flights between the two cities, flying may not be the most efficient option given the short distance. The flight takes about 1 hour, but you need to account for airport transfers and check-in times.

How to get from Katowice Airport (Katowice International Airport, KTW) to Krakow:

By bus: The most common and economical way is to take a bus. Several companies operate direct bus services from the airport to Krakow. The journey usually takes about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic. Check the schedules and ticket information with companies like FlixBus or local carriers.

 By train: There is no direct train service from Katowice Airport to Krakow. However, you can take a bus or shuttle to the nearest train station (usually Katowice or Tychy) and then board a train to Krakow. This option may take longer and involve transfers.

Taxi or Rideshare: Taxis are available at the airport. A taxi ride to Krakow will take around 30-50 minutes, depending on traffic. Rideshare services may also be available.

Car rental: If you prefer to drive yourself, car rental services are available at the airport. This option provides flexibility for exploring the area.
